Wall

Definition: A line of players organized by a team to stand shoulder by shoulder and try to prevent a free-kick being scored. A wall is designed to obstruct the kicker’s view of goal, restrict the amount of the target he has to shoot at, and block his shot. A wall is generally made up of two to six players. The wall must stand 10 yards back from the stationary ball.
