The former Feyenoord striker has such grace, that he is compared with the great Thierry Henry. Inter Milan announced a deal for the player in March 2011 after attracting interest from a host of clubs.
Tall, skilful and speedy, Castaignos was Feyenoord’s top league scorer in the 2010-11 season with 15 goals.
He was representing Holland’s Under-17 side at the age of just 15, and finished as the joint top scorer at the UEFA European Under-17 Championship as his side lost narrowly to hosts Germany in the final.
Castaignos started his youth career at the local Schiedam club Excelsior '20 before moving to Spartaan '20, and then Feyenoord’s academy at 14.
