Goal

Definition: A goal is scored when the entire ball crosses the whole of the goal line between the goalposts and the crossbar. The team who scores the most goals at the end of a match is the winner; also, the 8-foot high, 24-foot wide structure consisting of two posts, a crossbar and a net into which all goals are scored.
