Leroy Lita
Born in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Leroy Lita turned his back on his birth country to represent England at Under 21 level, most notably this summer at the 2007 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship where his goals, pace and power brought him a new group of admirers.
No stranger to controversy, Lita's hopes of helping Reading to overcome the traditional "difficult second season" syndrome in the Premiership have been held up due to a freak leg injury while stretching in bed only days before the new Premiership season was due to start.
When he does return his form in front of goal will be vital to Reading's chances of keeping their place in the increasingly competitive English Premier League.
