Now, I'm a bit slow to this, but surely the banner protest by some Manchester City supporters in Sunday's trip to Arsenal was fundamentally flawed.
City supporters were complaining at the £62 Arsenal charged them to attend the fixture at the Emirates Stadium.
Banners of the "£62 and we're still here" and "£62, where will it stop?" variety were removed by police and stewards during City's 2-0 win.
Nine hundred unsold tickets were sent back by City to Arsenal, but surely the act of those present protesting was a fruitless exercise - people who paid £62 pointing out that they were still at the game, despite the rip-off price.
