Radamel Falcao's days at Atletico Madrid are numbered. Chelsea are being linked with the striker, as are Paris Saint-Germain, who may launch a bid to take him to the Parc des Princes in January.
Falcao is not agitating for a move, but said this week that he does not know what the future holds.
"I don't even know what I'm doing tomorrow," Falcao said when asked what his plans were at the end of the season. "I am happy here and enjoying things at present. I am not thinking about leaving, only in playing this season and I hope everything goes well."
The likelihood is that the Colombian, who has scored 10 La Liga goals this season, will stay until the end of the season before being sold to the highest bidder.
"Sixty million euros for Falcao would solve all the economic problems at Atletico," the club's CEO Miguel-Angel Gil Marin said a few weeks ago. "But I can say for sure that he will stay with us until the end of the season."
Falcao holds the record for the highest number of goals scored in a single Europa League season. The feeling is that he now needs a grander stage. Champions League qualification looks a likely scenario for Atleti this season, but that will not stop the likes of PSG and Chelsea circling around El Tigre (The Tiger) next summer.
