Ronaldo Admits He Wants Real Madrid Move
Saturday June 21, 2008
Hardly a shock after the not so subtle press leaks from Cristiano Ronaldo's advisors over the past few weeks but now Portugal have dropped out of Euro 2008 the player has finally came out and admitted that he wants to leave European champions Manchester United for Real Madrid. So much for FIFA and UEFA clearing Real Madrid of making an illegal approach then.
As soon as the rumours started a few weeks ago it became all too apparent that Real Madrid were using some of Sir Alex Ferguson's own unsettling techniques (I point I made in this very blog) by leaking stories to the press while officially denying any interest. The outcome is now perfectly clear and I would be completely shocked to still see Ronaldo in a Manchester United shirt for the start of the 2008/2009 season.
Ronaldo himself has talked of a "great opportunity" and of Portugal coach Phil Scolari's advice that "that train passes by only once and we have to take advantage of it" seems to have been taken onboard. The fact that Scolari will be Chelsea's coach next season hasn't, of course, gone unnoticed at Old Trafford. Insider dealing it may be but it's obviously worked in Madrid's favour.
Now the ultimate course has been decided it will lead to a few weeks of a Mexican stand-off between the world's two richest clubs as they barter over a world record transfer fee with neither looking to have their proverbial pants pulled down in the eyes of their fans. United will get a large wedge of cash but their new problem will be finding a player of similar quality to their 42 goal winger and that will be no small job for Alex Ferguson and the Glazer family.

my advice to ronaldo is that he stays at real madrid. what real wants is to use him to boost their off the pitch merchandise. they want to increasde their market value knowing that women are in love with the style of the player. ronaldo is like beckham whose when he went to spain brought women to fall in love with the club and the player. at the end they achieved anothing from him. a word to the wise is enough.
Rubbish article.Ronalso isn’t going anywhere.
I know Ronaldo wants to go. Yes Sir must leave him because the boy is not taking any advice and have not learn what happen to all the big players who went to Madrid. Where is Ronaldo, Zidan, Carlos and others? United is a great team for u and they are not treating u bad why do u want to go. is it because of the money or what, U are picking a great form at United now and u have continue next season. I don’t think he will go because he called United to confirm his preseason training on 10th July. I word to a wise is enough
