The John Terry Penalty Miss Jokes Just Keep Coming In

Friday May 23, 2008
John Terry CriesPoor John Terry. As if it wasn't bad enough being a triple loser this season as runner up in the English Premier League and a beaten finalist in the Carling Cup and UEFA Champion's League, he now has to endure the taunts of fans of every other club in England who seem to be more than happy to revel in his pain.

To add some more fuel to the fire I want to hear the best jokes you've been texting to your friends on the back of John Terry's penalty miss. Just add them to the comments below and please try and keep them legal!

My personal favourite is this Photoshopped picture:

What did John Terry say to the Elephant?

I forgot the European Cup

May 23, 2008 at 7:45 pm
(2) Caz says:

I hate it for the guy he is such a competitor. Drogba is to blame he should have kept his head and maybe Terry wouldn’t have been put in that spot. Still, glad he missed Ronaldo deserved the title.

(3) dohn rambo says:

don’t worry u can try next year

May 24, 2008 at 2:10 am

(5) Busby babes.. says:

Ferric, learn to spell number one.

number two: pop quiz, which is the only team in englang to be in two finals and level on points in the league and still win nothing?

number three: Rio Ferdinand was asked “What is it like winning the europeon cup”? he said “Its like eating a chacolate orange” when he was asked “why” he replied “because its not Terrys, its mine”.

Have you heard? The good news is that dirty Austrian cellar rapist is getting the death penalty. The bad news is Terry’s taking it.

John Terry is making his own vodka…………..He bottles it in Moscow.

(6) busby babes.. says:

and before you say anything remotley witty.. the england is a typing error!!!

May 24, 2008 at 9:37 am
(7) rex says:

How wonderful and worldly of the MU fan to mock a person, for whom English is clearly not a first language, on spelling etc.

It is difficult for a neutral to know which of the teams, apparently representing the English Premier league, to dislike the most. ANYBODY given enough money and 25 odd years might stand a chance of success etc etc

By the way, to the critical MU fan; tell us again, where do you live?

May 24, 2008 at 9:55 am
(8) Ray Dolmen says:

Why did John Terry miss the penalty?

His penis turned into a banana skin

May 24, 2008 at 10:10 am
(9) Rob Aston says:

Lol @ Rex

The ” Tell us where you live” Comment must of taken you a while to come up with /golfclap

I bet thats never been used before.

My advice to you

Find the on / off button on your PC , Press it then return the computer to the shop you bought it from because obviously you are too stupid to use it.

k bye

(10) si 1 says:

Lets get it right.

John Terry is not all that.

Remember England not qualifying under his captaincy?

On his own, without use of his gob, when it came down to it, he was not able to perform. Which is after all, what he gets £150,000 a week to do.

May 24, 2008 at 11:58 am
(11) rex says:

Dear Rob,

I have never claimed originality to be among my strengths; I might point out however that the take the PC back/Stupid thing is hardly cutting edge in terms of put downs etc etc

My comment was at least valid. MU fans are a fickle bunch, to put it mildly;and jumping on bandwagons springs readily to mind.

It is clubs like MoneyUnited that are destroying the game at a basic level.

I apologise if my intellect fails to meet your lofty level.

REX

(12) Hans says:

Rex,
I think Robs comment was more valid than yours, your comment was just Terryble.

May 24, 2008 at 2:35 pm
(13) matt says:

so rex who do you support and where do you live. boredom of not being successful gets
to some fans especially those you support teams with no history, you only get by with
the common remark which is boring

May 24, 2008 at 2:39 pm
(14) Jack says:

Money United?
I dont seem to remember Chelsea performing on the levels Manchester United have until Abramovich came along with his billions. Yet we won a treble in 1999 before multi-multi million pound transfers came in. And a double with a squad we havent spent over half a billion on. So I think in terms of put downs, your bit of a hypocritical mug.

May 24, 2008 at 9:33 pm
(15) Lucio says:

si
i dont know what in the world you’re talking about…
John Terry is not all that???
did you watch the game… the “slip” was his only mistake…
No one else would have made that header save

May 25, 2008 at 7:07 am
(16) Alan Walker says:

“No one else would have made that header save”

He shouldn’t have bothered…

May 26, 2008 at 5:20 am
(17) GARY says:

I dont think anyone doubts terry to be a great defender. However, why did he have to start the trouble with tevez that saw drogba get sent off. HE got what he deserved,Chelsea hardly showed any sportsmanship in the whole game.serves them right.

May 26, 2008 at 1:16 pm
(18) Mike Brailsford says:

It will happen one day when Chelsea stop becoming the number 4 team in England.

Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal have always occupied the top 3 and generally over the last 20 years, there has been another team who have a few good years (Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United spring to mind), before disappearing back to mid table status.

Or is Abramovich going to continue his bank roll. I wonder.

May 26, 2008 at 3:54 pm
(19) Benjamino says:

the only team in the top 4 who dont spend big is arsenal. although they havent won a trophy in years i think they still deserve some credit for the standard of the football they play, and in years to come trophys will arive.

as for the john terry penalty thing, all the best players in the world miss penaltys. the likes of beckham, baggio, trezeguet, ronaldo and viera have all missed them. personaly i dont think he should have taken it but i do understand that he was going for the captains glory. Man u did well to win the double, but if ronaldo didnt play and he does end up leaving…where will the 42 goals a season come from, sure rooney and tevez will score but without Ron i dont think united will win anything.

May 26, 2008 at 5:11 pm
(20) Emmanuel Emechete says:

Too bad many of us has trown away good manners. John terry threw away the Cup but where are our manners of patting the Baby in the Back.

He is simply the best prime Minister of Football.

May 26, 2008 at 5:50 pm
(21) Leigh says:

Yes it’s true.. It seems that John Terry is to start selling his very own brand of vodka.

It will be produced in the UK but will be bottled in Moscow.

May 26, 2008 at 8:18 pm
(22) Rio says:

What goes “beep beep beep beep beep beep”?

The Chelsea open top bus reversing back into the garage.

May 27, 2008 at 3:34 am
(23) Habila Optimist says:

Poor Terry. Three final appearances, three defeats in a single season. Terry’s days of lifting any trophy with the blues may have ended.

May 27, 2008 at 7:16 am
(24) ronaldo7 says:

john terry on 150k a week and cant score from 12 yards, i no ronaldo done the same but look at his season you cant deny the bloke that, coz currently he is the worlds best player n i fink United are right to pay em 120k a week

May 27, 2008 at 6:43 pm
(25) Aaron says:

Why can’t you get a cup of tea at the Bridge? All the mugs are on the field and all the cups are at Old Trafford.

May 28, 2008 at 5:03 am
(26) Tom says:

viva john terry,
viva john terry,

coulda won the cup,
but he f*cked it up.

May 28, 2008 at 5:32 am
(27) bobby bigspuds says:

May 28, 2008 at 6:24 am
(28) Dadeday says:

i think John Terry dont like this cup then he was kick so hard and he was cry bcoz he leg was so painful

Have you heard? The good news is that dirty Austrian cellar rapist is getting the death penalty. The bad news is Terry’s taking it

Some good news at last for Abramovich. Sainsburys have given him a full refund on the tin of silver polish

John Terry used to be Mister Chelsea now is Mister penalty

Frank Lampard and Joe Cole were allegedly spotted out in Red Square last night, having clearly had one or two drinks. They were reportedly singing: “We’re forever blowing Doubles.”

Did you hear about the new ‘Chelsea Bra’? Lots of support but no cups.

Why can’t you get a cup of tea at the Bridge? All the mugs are on the field and all the cups are at Old Trafford.

June 7, 2008 at 9:01 am
(36) united 4 life says:

June 14, 2008 at 2:38 pm
(37) Red Devil says:

To Rex

In reply to your stupid comment about Manchester United spending millions…

—Unfortunately a club can only spend what they win, hope that clears up
Manchester Uniteds bulging bank account and Liverpools buying impotency ;)

Yes because that will ‘destroy’ football….putting more money into the game and attracting more fans around the world. I can follow that line of thought

(39) Olly says:

“remember England not qualifying under his captaincy” a pretty ignorant comment from a previous commentor. It wasn’t terry’s fault for that, it was the wally in the brolly’s fault, Steve “Dopey” Mclaren. Don’t worry JT all the chelsea boys are right behind ya still there’s always next year.
