Have Liverpool and Manchester United Blown Their Champion's League Chances?

First we saw Liverpool's John Arne Riise punch the self destruct button last night with his injury time own goal to let Chelsea back into their UEFA Champion's League semi-final and now tonight we see "best player in the world" Cristiano Ronaldo set Manchester United's hopes back with an early penalty miss at the Nou Camp.

Liverpool know all too well just how difficult Champion's League semi-finals against Chelsea can be after facing the Londoners twice previously at the same stage in the past few seasons and will be raging at dropping the one goal advantage Dirk Kuyt's goal had given them.

United meanwhile will certainly regret not taking a one goal advantage back to Old Trafford but can feel pretty happy not to have lost the game after Barcelona took control for large portions of the match after Ronaldo's over confident spot kick rolled past the post in the opening minutes.

At least with two draws the second legs of each semi-final are now destined to be crackers as all four teams still have a very real chance of getting to the final in Moscow next month.
