Alan's World Soccer BlogBeckham Finally Ready To Make His Mark For Galaxy A goal and an assist for Landon Donovan's goal may seem like a pretty basic night at the office for LA Galaxy star David Beckham but after his torrid time last season on joining the Los Angeles based club it's a signal of intent for the Englishman.
Admitting himself that he was less than 50% fit for the handful of games he did play in the Galaxy colours last season on his arrival, Beckham is now glad to see the sideshow that follows him abate a little and with a full pre-season and his 100th England appearance behind him he is fit and raring to go as he chases his American Dream of a MLS title for LA Galaxy. With so much riding on Beckham's ability to stay on the pitch and make appearances all around the US and encourage more spectators, there will be a few sighs of relief from the Galaxy boardroom that he is looking in such good shape.
